Our dad and uncle, the second-generation Visbeen, built the sanctuary addition in 1968. We went back as the third generation in 1998 and put a new addition onto the temple and major renovation—all masonry products inside and out. The exterior is completely brick with fabricated slate slabs; the interior is ground face block, with wood truss ceilings and special slate.
In 2009 we returned to renovate the sanctuary once again including erecting temporary scaffolding and airtight flooring 30 feet above the entire sanctuary floor to complete the abatement and ceiling replacement.
