This special-needs school project consisted of renovating 26,680 square feet of existing building, with an addition of 12,540 square feet. The school is all on one level allowing for complete access to every room. There are several classrooms – kindergarten through grade 12. Included in the renovation, were special rooms for speech, PT, QT, VOC, visual performing arts, a sensory room, and a green room. There is also a very large multipurpose room, a teaching apartment space, and a swimming pool. The school was designed to allow teaching students who are confined to a wheelchair, and provides access so they can get everywhere, and do anything. Special lifts were installed to assist those caring for children, as well as a complete outdoor playground with special features. This truly is a state-of-the-art school for these amazing children.
